SMS wins Gold prize at Corporate & Financial Awards 2022
Awarded winning place within the category ‘Best Corporate Website – AIM listed’, SMS proudly took to the stage to accept the award alongside its corporate communications agency Instinctif Partners Ltd, who jointly entered the award in recognition of their considerable part as web developer and host for the new site.
In 2021 SMS rolled out a brand refresh, and it was recognised from the offset that this brand update would have its biggest impact when applied to its largest digital asset – the website.
A new website would need to better represent not only the evolved brand, but also an evolving business model which targets an increasingly diverse range of energy solutions markets. The company’s nationwide workforce collectively forms expertise across an array of integrated carbon reduction (CaRe) assets, including smart meters (and the critical data they provide), battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV chargepoints.
Quite simply, SMS set out to create a new website which would address the challenges facing their customers – and society more widely – in the context of climate change and sustainability.
The result being an award winning, fully responsive website, which provides a seamless user journey, innovative design, and a clear and articulate narrative.

“I was incredibly proud of the launch of SMS new Group website before we could attribute the accolade of it being an award-winning site! It was a real team effort, and I include our extended team at Instinctif Partners when I say that as without them this wouldn’t have been possible. From concept development we knew the design was going to be strong, but it was the development of unique assets such as our bespoke mega-menu- which is vital to best guide the user journey of such an information rich site- that I knew we were on to something special. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project, a very well deserved win!”
